SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH Fadil Novalić, Deputy Prime Minister of the FBiH and Federal Minister of Finance Jelka Milićević, and Federal Minister of Transport and Communications Denis Lasić today, at the headquarters of the Federal Government in Sarajevo, met with a delegation from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), led by the Head of the Bank's Office for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Manuela Naessl.
The modalities of financing the construction of the Corridor Vc section Mostar North - Mostar South were discussed.
The interlocutors were unanimous in their assessment that this is an extremely significant project.
Therefore, finding a solution for financing its construction would also mean closing the financial structure for the entire highway section from Tarčin, through the Prenj tunnel, to south of Mostar.
Prime Minister Novalić emphasized that the financial structure needs to be closed as quickly as possible, as time is the most crucial factor in everything.
"In a situation where we cannot rely much on final consumption and large export results, public investments are the best and safest way to inject money into the economy," the Prime Minister explained.
He thanked the EBRD for its immense commitment in our country, primarily concerning road infrastructure, but also for introducing transparency into the work of domestic authorities.
At today's meeting, which was also attended by representatives of the EBRD Office in London via video link, it was stated that the construction of Corridor Vc through Bosnia and Herzegovina is high on the list of priorities for this international financial institution.
The Director of JP Autoceste FBiH, Adnan Terzić, also participated in the discussions, the continuation of which was agreed for next week.
