Orašje: Meeting of Police Agency Heads in FBiH

A meeting of police chiefs in the Federation of BiH will be held today in Orašje, writes the Patria agency.

This is a regular meeting of FUP Director Dragan Lukač, Federal Minister of Internal Affairs Aljoša Čampara, and the heads of cantonal Ministries of Internal Affairs.

It was announced that the topic of the meeting will be the security situation in FBiH.

Federal Minister of Internal Affairs Aljoša Čampara stated late last year, in an address to the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH, that the security situation in FBiH is satisfactory, but that BiH has a serious problem with terrorism that has affected other parts of the world. He added that police agencies have control over every inch of land in the Federation of BiH.

Deputies from the SDP, DF, SBB, and Our Party criticized Minister Čampara's report, pointing out that it mostly consists of fabricated data and that the security situation in FBiH is severely compromised, writes Patria.

The Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, Goran Salihović, is participating in the meeting of the highest officials of police and security structures in the Federation of BiH, which is being held in Orašje.

The topics of the meeting relate to the security situation in the Federation of BiH, potential security threats, and activities to prevent and punish phenomena that can be linked to terrorist activities.

The meeting also discussed better cooperation, communication, and coordination between police and security agencies operating in the Federation of BiH.

The BiH Prosecutor's Office, together with partner police and security agencies, is intensively monitoring the security situation and the emergence of potential security threats, and the Department for Terrorism of the BiH Prosecutor's Office is intensively carrying out activities to detect and prevent any activities related to terrorism.

Officials from cantonal police and Ministries of Internal Affairs, the Federal Police Administration, and the FMUP are participating in the meeting in Orašje.
