Extensive Operation in Visoko: Fugitive Sejfović Sought, His Belongings Found

Police officers from SIPA, MUP KS, MUP ZDK armed with long barrels have occupied the wider area of Visoko towards Kiseljak in search of escaped detainee from KPZ Sarajevo Amel Sejfović, writes Patria agency.

Sejfović escaped from the Sarajevo KPZ on Sunday at gunpoint, after which several individuals suspected of helping him escape were arrested. Five people are in custody, while an accomplice who was waiting for him on a motorcycle after his escape is being sought. For one more person, a motion to impose custody has been filed on suspicion of aiding Sejfović.

One person was arrested today.

Given that it is already dark and the search area is dense forest, it is questionable whether the police will catch the fugitive. 

Those familiar with the terrain state that it is inaccessible and very difficult to navigate through the dense forest.  

Spokesperson for the KS Prosecutor's Office, Azra Bavčić, told Patria agency that during this operation, items and objects suspected of belonging to Amel Sejfović were found.
