Caution on roads in BiH, works on numerous sections slow down traffic

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - According to the morning report from BIHAMK, the road surface on the roads in BiH is dry, and the frequency of vehicles is of moderate intensity on most roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Due to high daily temperatures, BIHAMK recommends undertaking long journeys in the early morning or late afternoon hours.

Until 06/22, due to works, the exits from the highway at the Podlugovi interchange are closed, and traffic is being redirected to the Visoko and Sarajevo sjever interchanges. The entrances to the highway at the Podlugovi interchange are operational. Works on the A-1 highway are also being carried out in the zone of the Sarajevo sjever interchange, where the overtaking lanes are closed, as well as on the Klopče viaduct on the Zenica sjever-Zenica jug section, where the driving lane is closed to traffic.

On the Jajce-Donji Vakuf highway, traffic alternates, one lane at a time, due to works in the Skela tunnel. During the night hours (10 PM - 6 AM), traffic is suspended and redirected to the bypass around the tunnel.

Traffic is slower, due to works, on the following routes: Konjic-Jablanica (Crnaja tunnel), Donji Vakuf-Travnik (Komar), Žepče-Zenica (Golubinja), Ripač-Dubovsko, and Šamac-Orašje (Grebnice-Bazik section).

On the Rudo-Uvac border crossing road, due to bridge damage, traffic is prohibited for trucks with a maximum axle load exceeding 10 tons per axle, while for other vehicles, the speed limit on the bridge is restricted to 20 km/h.

Increased traffic of vehicles is observed at the exits from Bosnia and Herzegovina at the border crossings: Izačić, Velika Kladuša, Gradina, and Gradiška.

At other border crossings, waiting times are currently no longer than 30 minutes, it was announced by BIHAMK.
