Gas station robbed at gunpoint, three arrested, three more sought

On Sunday around 9:40 PM on Safeta Zajke Street, Novi Grad Sarajevo municipality, three unknown persons committed the criminal offense of robbery against workers at the “PETROL BH OIL" gas station, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria. 

- On that occasion, masked unknown persons, threatening with a firearm, stole a certain amount of money, and then fled in an unknown direction.

Working on solving the said criminal offense, on the same day at 11:05 PM on Avde Palića Street, Novi Grad Sarajevo municipality, police officers of the III Police Station stopped and checked a passenger motor vehicle of the make “VW Golf”, driven by driver M.I., born in 1977 in Goražde, residing in Sarajevo, with whom in the vehicle was H.M., born in 1981 in Rogatica, residing in Sarajevo.

Due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they committed the criminal offense under Article 289 in conjunction with Article 31 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Complicity in the commission of the criminal offense of robbery), they were deprived of liberty and handed over to the Department for Detention of Persons Deprived of Liberty of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton.

On July 27, 2015, at 2:40 AM, D.D., born in 1981 in Sarajevo, where he resides, was deprived of liberty due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed the criminal offense under Article 289, paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Robbery).  

The prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo was informed of the above, and work continues on solving the mentioned criminal offense, as well as finding three more persons who may be connected to its commission, whose identity is known to police officers.
