Operational Group for Migration of Una-Sana Canton Demands Implementation of Brussels Conclusions from the Ministry of Security

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Operational Group for Migration and Coordination of Activities and Oversight of the Migrant Crisis in Una-Sana Canton today requested the BiH Ministry of Security to start implementing the Brussels conclusions as soon as possible.

After the meeting in Bihać, it was stated that the position of the Government of Una-Sana Canton, which proposed the Medeno Polje location for accommodating migrants, remains, and that Bira and Miral should be closed, BHRT reports.

It was agreed that four million marks from the Government of the Federation of BiH would be directed to the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Una-Sana Canton, which are obliged to prepare a program for the expenditure of these funds.

The operational team also condemned the latest incident in which 18 migrants were injured at the border between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia.

In this incident, migrants from Pakistan and Iraq sustained minor injuries.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Croatia denied yesterday that there were any injuries.

The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has also been informed about this case, which, in cooperation with other agencies, is undertaking activities to determine all the circumstances of this event.

The BiH Minister of Security, Dragan Mektić, also commented, stating that a comprehensive report will be prepared, which will then be forwarded to the BiH Presidency.
