Operational action "Zenicatrans", searches at 11 locations, Kasumović also giving a statement

(Patria) - Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) today (01.12.2021) began searches at 11 locations in the area of Zenica, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that criminal offenses of "Organized Crime", "Abuse of Position or Authority", "Damage to Creditors", "Causing Bankruptcy" and "Negligent Work in Service" from the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina have been committed.

In the operational action "Zenicatrans", SIPA police officers are searching residential and official premises, with the aim of finding and temporarily seizing items, i.e., documenting illegal activities of officials and responsible persons in the City of Zenica.

The searches are being conducted by order of the Cantonal Court in Zenica and under the supervision of the acting prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Zenica-Doboj Canton in cooperation with police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Central Bosnia Canton, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, and the Federal Police Administration.

Considering that the activities of police officers are ongoing, the public will be informed about the details of the operational action later.

The Mayor of Zenica, Fuad Kasumović, is "under police escort" in Zenica, which he himself confirmed on Facebook. He blamed SDA for his arrest.

"At this moment, I am under escort by police officers who are merely fulfilling the tasks set before them by the criminal SDA and criminal parts of the Prosecutor's Office. My spectacular and cinematic apprehension was orchestrated by sick minds, including corrupt politicians, prosecutors, and journalists whose actions I have warned you about countless times over the past five years," wrote Kasumović.
