Operation 'Virus': Searches at 12 locations, cocaine, marijuana, heroin, weapons found...

(Patria) - Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) today (02/19/2026) together with police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Una-Sana Canton Bihać, are carrying out an operation codenamed 'Virus' within which searches of residential and auxiliary buildings and movable property are being conducted at 12 locations in the areas of Bihać, Cazin, Bosanska Krupa and Mostar.

The searches are being carried out under the orders of the Cantonal Court in Bihać and the Municipal Court in Mostar and under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of the Una-Sana Canton Bihać and the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that the criminal offense of 'Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs' prescribed by the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been committed.

So far, during the searches, approximately two kilograms of white powdery substance resembling the narcotic drug cocaine, approximately five kilograms of green plant matter resembling the narcotic drug cannabis, 30 grams of brown powdery substance resembling the narcotic drug heroin, three pistols with ammunition, mobile phones, as well as other items that may serve as evidence in criminal proceedings have been discovered and temporarily seized.

Six persons have been deprived of liberty who, after criminal processing and questioning as suspects, will be handed over to the further jurisdiction of the aforementioned prosecutor's offices.

Police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton are also participating in the implementation of the 'Virus' operation.
