
Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) yesterday (01/27/2026) apprehended three individuals within the scope of the operation codenamed "Hanadu", due to grounds for suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of "Illicit trafficking in excise goods" prescribed by the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
These individuals, after criminal processing and questioning as suspects, will be handed over to the further jurisdiction of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, under whose supervision the field activities were carried out.
Searches of apartments, auxiliary premises, and movable property were carried out in Maglaj and Šamac, at three locations, during which approximately 243 kilograms of cut tobacco, 500 packs of filled cigarettes not marked with excise stamps, about 500 kilograms of leaf tobacco, a tobacco cutting machine, a manual cigarette filling machine, and other items that may serve as evidence in further proceedings were discovered and temporarily seized.
The aforementioned activities were carried out based on an oral order from the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in cooperation with the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska and the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
