MUNICIPAL SPACES FOR RENT Start Your Own Business in Stari Grad

SARAJevo, (Patria) - If you have business ideas and want to realize them in the very center of Sarajevo, you now have the opportunity to rent commercial space in the core area, the municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo. Namely, the Municipality of Stari Grad has issued a public call offering the possibility of renting five commercial spaces located in attractive locations. These are Štrosmajerova, Hamdije Kreševljakovića, Muvekita, Jaroslava Černija, and Iza Hrida streets. The monthly rent for these spaces is determined by their square footage and the zone they are located in, ranging from 3 KM/m2 (Category E, Hrid) to 18 KM/m2 (Category B, Štrosmajerova and Muvekita).

Legal and natural persons can apply for the public call, and applications should be submitted in writing to the address of the Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo (Zelenih beretki 4). Interested parties can apply for one of these commercial spaces until Monday, September 28, 2020. The Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo, as a responsible local self-government unit, led by the mayor, Mr. Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, has maximally accommodated its commercial space tenants during the coronavirus pandemic. In March of this year, their rents were reduced by 50%, while in April and May, tenants were completely exempt from paying rent.

Last week, the mayor, Mr. Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, visited several tenants in Stari Grad and saw their difficult business operations and significantly reduced incomes. The mayor, Mr. Hadžibajrić, announced that at the October session of the Municipal Council of Stari Grad, he will propose a new rent reduction for tenants. According to his proposal, tenants would pay rents reduced by 30% for the next six months.
