SARAJEVO, (Patria) - USKOK has launched an investigation against a 50-year-old clerk of the Municipality of Generalski Stol, suspected of transferring 974,000 kuna from the municipal giro account to her current accounts on 1789 occasions.
The prosecution specified that the 50-year-old, from August 22, 2008, to October 21, 2019, as a clerk for social and general affairs in the administrative activities department of the Municipality of Generalski Stol, used the electronic banking application to transfer municipal funds from the municipality's giro account to a number of her current accounts opened in various banks.
The clerk, USKOK adds, through 1789 different transactions, transferred money from the municipal budget intended for agricultural co-financing programs, one-time financial aid, and social welfare benefits to her accounts.
In addition, it is suspected that the clerk, in order to conceal the flow of money, falsely represented that the municipal funds were used for their intended purpose and that when issuing invoices, she falsely listed various individuals and legal entities as recipients of the compensation.
Subsequently, USKOK adds, she submitted false statements to the municipal accounting department for booking.
