Old Town Municipality will financially support farmers

The Old Town Municipality, through its Economy Department, has issued a Public Call for submitting applications to stimulate livestock production. Agricultural producers residing and producing in the Old Town area can apply for the call. Funds in the amount of approximately 20,000 KM are planned in the Old Town Municipality budget for this year to stimulate livestock production and the purchase of animal feed, reports Patria News Agency.

The condition for receiving funds is that farmers have their own facility for housing livestock, as well as the number of household members in the agricultural farm. Priority is given to demobilized soldiers, unemployed persons, pensioners, disabled war veterans, families of martyrs, and those for whom agricultural production is the primary source of livelihood.

Approximately 100,000 KM has been allocated for the stimulation of livestock production in Old Town over the past four years. This initiative aims to encourage the development of cattle, sheep, goat, fish, and poultry farming in Sarajevo's oldest municipality. All beneficiaries of incentives from previous years agree that the Municipality's support means a lot to them, and some have stated that they have increased their livestock herd thanks to these funds.

Interested farmers can apply for the Public Call by submitting applications with accompanying documentation in the Counter Hall of the Old Town Municipality. Necessary forms can be picked up at the Info Desk or downloaded from the municipal website (www.starigrad.ba), where they can also read the full text of the Public Call. The Public Call is open for 15 days from the date of its publication on the Municipality's notice board, local community notice boards, and the Old Town Municipality website.
