Ilidža Municipality: 550 Marriages Concluded, 400 KM Fee for Weddings Outside Municipal Building

In the Sarajevo municipality of Ilidža, the number of concluded marriages is increasing year by year. Thus, by November 28th of this year, 550 couples have said the fateful "yes" before the registrar of Ilidža Municipality and concluded their marriage, it was announced from this municipality, reports Patria.

- Concluding a marriage in Ilidža Municipality is simple, provided all necessary documentation is submitted. The registrar, in agreement with the future married partners, determines the date of the marriage, and the deadline can be shorter than 30 days from the date of announcing the intention to conclude the marriage.

All necessary forms for conducting weddings in Ilidža Municipality are free of charge and available both on the website and at the Municipality's Info-desk.

Weddings are free on Wednesdays and Saturdays in the official premises of the municipality. The act of concluding the marriage can also be performed outside the official premises of the Municipality.

When the conclusion of a marriage is approved outside the official municipal premises, in places such as hotels or restaurants, future married partners are obliged to pay a fee of 400 KM. Marriages in such cases are performed every day between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Owners of catering facilities are obliged to provide a suitable room with appropriate conditions for the solemn act of concluding the marriage.

Future married partners who wish to conclude their marriage on days that are not designated as days for concluding marriages in the official municipal premises by a special act of the municipal mayor, i.e., Wednesdays and Saturdays, can request this exclusively on working days between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with a fee of 100 KM.
