Municipality Centar supports the Union of Police Unions of FBiH

In the Municipality Centar on July 1, 2015, a protocol was signed on the realization of funds allocated by the Municipality Centar for the project of the Union of Police Unions of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The amount is 3,000 KM which the Union will use for the realization of an anti-stress program for police officers, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

On behalf of the Municipality, the protocol was signed by Mayor Dževad Bećirević, and on behalf of the Union of Police Unions, by President Halid Ganija.

- Like any other organization fighting for the rights and protection at work of its members, we organize training sessions in various fields for police officers, many of whom, due to the nature of their work, do not live to see their deserved retirement. In November last year, we organized a lecture for our members, held by the renowned psychologist Prof. Dr. Jasna Bajraktarević, on the topic of how to cope with stress and preserve mental health. Now, as a union, we are most engaged with the new Labor Law and are trying to protect the acquired rights of our members - said Ganija.

The Union of Police Unions of FBiH, which brings together a large number of police officers, is a member of the European Police Union (EPU) with more than 500,000 members of police unions from all over Europe.

Zakira Šero, Assistant Mayor of Municipality Centar for Education, Culture and Sport, and Azra Sejfić, technical secretary of the Union of Police Unions of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, attended the signing of the protocol.
