Centar Municipality Funds Youth Business Startups and Development

The Commission for the Implementation of the Procedure for Allocating Funds for Youth Employment Incentives of the Centar Sarajevo Municipality reviewed the submitted projects under the Public Call for financing and co-financing the best business projects using funds from the budget of the Centar Sarajevo Municipality, announced the Centar Municipality, as reported by the Patria news agency.

Based on the Decision on Youth Employment Incentives from the budget funds of the Centar Municipality, unanimously adopted by the Centar Municipal Council, a public call was published for financing and co-financing the best business projects aimed at developing entrepreneurship and youth employment, lasting 60 days.

After processing all submitted projects, the Commission for the Implementation of the Procedure for Allocating Funds for Youth Employment Incentives of the Centar Sarajevo Municipality unanimously decided to invite 12 candidates whose business plan quality scored above 60 points for an interview and presentation of their business plans. These candidates are: Hasan Agić, Senad Borozan, Eldar Bošnjak, Admir Dugalija, Irma Efendić, Haris Ibrulj, Ena Imamović, Maja Jačević, Kenan Kapidžić, Nasuf Krupalija, Faris Nikšić, and Igor Ostović.

The date, time, and location of the interviews and business plan presentations will be subsequently announced on the Centar Sarajevo Municipality website www.centar.ba.

The goal of the aforementioned decision is to encourage entrepreneurship and self-employment among unemployed young people up to 35 years of age from the Centar municipality area, through co-financing the costs of starting and developing their own businesses. The allocation of non-repayable financial resources to future young entrepreneurs is in line with the adopted Youth Strategy of the Centar Municipality and the Action Plan, announced the Centar Municipality.
