Omerbegović-Arapović: Corruption and nepotism have stalled the BiH economy

(Patria) – The Vice-President of SBB and the party's candidate for the BiH Parliament in the upcoming elections in BiH, Adisa Omerbegović-Arapović, believes that the progress of BiH society is most hindered by nepotism and rampant corruption.
This can be resolved, she emphasized, by criminally prosecuting all elected officials and public servants who illegally employ their relatives.

“Without the rule of law, there will be neither a functioning economy nor democracy in BiH. Therefore, a transformation in society is necessary, which implies non-selective justice, and then a transformation of the fiscal system, relieving companies of excessive burdens, and so on,” Omerbegović-Arapović stated in a debate show on Federal Television.

“Attracting new investments in the country also requires the necessary harmonization of political relations,” said Omerbegović-Arapović. She added that SBB has a broad coalition capacity “to unite all professional and brave cadres in a government of national unity who can offer reforms.” On the other hand, she accused the Party of Democratic Action, as the party that has been in power in Bosnia and Herzegovina the longest, of undermining Bosniak unity and then endangering cooperation with other peoples in the country.
