Olaf Scholz infected with coronavirus

(Patria) - German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced today that he has contracted COVID-19 and will limit in-person meetings.

"This is not a surprise that makes me happy. My current COVID-19 tests show two lines.

With few symptoms, I am counting on a mild course of the illness and for now, I am only working from my desk," Scholz announced on social network X.

- Scholz is in his office and participating in government affairs via video conference.

The Chancellor will not attend public appointments on Monday and Tuesday. The visit of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico for Tuesday has been cancelled - said his spokesperson Steffen Hebestreit.
