The creative district of Lazareti, the very heart of Dubrovnik's charm, will once again be an unmissable stop for all souls yearning for top gastronomic specialties and good fun.

Merging with the beautiful architecture and history inscribed in every stone and every alley of the city, with wonderful and smiling people, these are memories to be cherished for a lifetime. Those who haven't tasted this city haven't tasted what a perfect vacation truly looks like. Now you can literally taste it at the most interesting street food festival this spring.

“Over five thousand visitors who enjoyed the first edition of Bavarin over four days last year showed us that our offer is on par with famous world street food festivals. The image of Lazareti packed to the brim is one of the most beautiful postcards we sent from Dubrovnik to the world last year! This year, we are taking the story to a higher level by bringing Lyaness as guest speakers, which I am immensely looking forward to,” said Antonio Franić, festival director.

Rich and diverse program

Bavarin runs from May 5th to May 14th, 2023, and over ten days, you can expect a gastro-music and educational spectacle with the best of domestic food and drink offerings, along with an unmissably great concert lineup, and the addition of true world-class bar crème! In 26 great programs, including 6 free concerts, 14 free workshops for children and adults, 4 free film screenings, 1 competition, and 1 charity event, everyone will find something for themselves. On Friday, May 5th, the festival's grand opening will feature the presentation of caterers and special festival guests, Lyaness bar from London, followed by a concert by Neno Belan & Fiumens. The next day, a visual arts workshop for children will be held by Anamarija Asanović, along with Lyaness bar, a London panel and Q&A, a Lyaness bar guest shift, and a concert by Vanne to conclude the day. In the following days, expect workshops, cooking shows, wine presentations, film screenings, DJ programs, a charity event with the Marin Čilić Foundation, a pastry workshop for children and adults with Lea Jurešić from Masterchef, painting workshops with oysters and prosecco, a rozata championship, fairytale readings, as well as concerts by the bands Kuzma i Shaka Zulu, Gina & The GeeGees, and the festival closing on May 14th with a concert by the band Silente.

Admission for all ten days of the second edition of Bavarin is, of course, free again this year!
