Hostage crisis in Paris ends, attacker arrested

PARIS, (Patria) - French police officers freed two people and arrested the attacker who held them hostage in Paris, French authorities announced this evening.

French Minister of Interior Gerard Collomb confirmed on his Twitter profile that the attacker was arrested and that the hostages are safe.

A police source stated earlier that the attacker demanded to contact the Iranian Embassy to convey a message to the French authorities.

An unnamed official from the French Ministry of Interior stated that the attacker's demands were "very unclear and disconnected" and that the negotiator had trouble understanding what the attacker wanted.
