(Patria) - Hamburg police announced that the hostage crisis has ended, and the suspect who has been blocking Hamburg Airport since last night has exited his vehicle and surrendered to the police.
He abducted his daughter last night and drove his car through the airport fence. Although contact was established with him, he refused to surrender.
There were no injuries in this police operation.
The man had lost custody of his daughter and wanted to take her to Turkey. The drama lasted from Saturday 11 PM. All flights from this airport were cancelled during this time.
Police announced that they will enable the resumption of flights as soon as possible.
