Book collection campaign for the library in Goražde concluded

The Commission of the Municipal Council Center for Local Communities and Cooperation with Municipalities and Cities and the Department for Local Self-Government, in 15 local communities of the Center in the period from September 20 to October 20, 2015, organized a book collection campaign for the National Library of Goražde, reports the news agency Patria.

As with the previous two organized book collection campaigns for libraries in Maglaj and Olovo, this time citizens showed great sensitivity and on this occasion donated over 1,500 titles, which representatives of the Municipality of Center will present to the library in Goražde during November this year. 

-In addition to citizens, during the campaign, books were also donated by representatives of the Faculty of Political Sciences in Sarajevo, the Youth Theater, and the Prosecutor's Office of the Sarajevo Canton. I would especially like to highlight our fellow citizen Diana Vormuc (Wormuth) from Sweden, who has always responded to our book collection campaigns so far.

So far, for three libraries in Maglaj, Olovo, and Goražde, thanks to the generosity of our fellow citizens, we have managed to collect over 5,000 titles. We intend to continue campaigns of this type next year, emphasized Samir Fazlić, President of the Commission for Local Communities and Cooperation with Municipalities and Cities, announced from the Municipality of Center.
