Operation Courier concluded: Lawyers, trainees, former court officials arrested

The FUP operation, carried out today under the order of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, has concluded with the arrest of seven people and searches of about ten locations, writes Patria.

In the operation Courier, lawyers Ismet Hamzić, Selma Taraniš, Samina Skopak, and Esad Hrvačić, trainee Vildana Ligate, court courier Zaim Spahović, and Muamer Pita were arrested.

Azra Bavčić, spokesperson for the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of KS, stated that the arrested individuals are charged with a criminal offense.

- They are charged with, as an organized crime group, having obtained judgments before the Municipal Court in Sarajevo and thereby illegally transferring ownership of about 70 properties in the Sarajevo Canton area, thus acquiring significant unlawful property benefits for themselves and others - Bavčić said.

She stated that the operation itself was preceded by long pre-investigative and investigative actions that lasted more than a year.

After criminal processing at the Federal Police Administration, they will be handed over to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton for further jurisdiction, along with a report on the committed criminal offense.
