OHR Welcomes Constitutional Court of BiH Decision: Serious Consequences for Citizens' Health Prevented

(Patria) - The Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has temporarily suspended the Law on Medicines and Medical Devices of RS and the Law on Amendments to the Law on Republican Administration.

A temporary measure has been adopted, but the decision has not been officially published. The Constitutional Court of BiH is expected to discuss the merits of these laws in September, i.e., whether they violate the BiH Constitution.

The OHR welcomed the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH.

"The OHR welcomes the adoption of the temporary measure by the Constitutional Court of BiH, which suspends the Law on Medicines and Medical Devices of RS, as well as the Law on Amendments to the Law on Republican Administration until the Court makes a final decision in this case.

The adopted measure prevents serious, far-reaching, and potentially irreparable damage that would ultimately jeopardize the healthcare system for citizens," the OHR stated in its reaction.
