OHR Remains, Russia's 'Euphoric' Victory is Symbolic, Nothing Unexpected in Politics!

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Yesterday's publication of parts of the EUFOR Resolution caused some panic, and some even declared war. In such situations, without deeper analysis, fear is the least needed by the citizens of BiH, and most needed by those pursuing their destructive policies, Milorad Dodik and others.

Therefore, it is necessary to look at things fundamentally, and as BiH Presidency member Šefik Džaferović said, the most important thing at this moment will be the extension of the mandate of the EUFOR military forces in BiH, and that is the main thing. 

“OHR remains in its capacity, remains with the Bonn powers, with all the mechanisms prescribed by the relevant UN Security Council resolutions,” Džaferović said.

The resolution itself, which will be discussed by the UN Security Council, explicitly mentions the earlier Resolution from 2014, which fully supports the OHR, meaning the existence of the Office of the High Representative is not and will not be called into question.

Adis Hasaković, an expert in political communication, points out that there are almost no unexpected situations in politics and communication. 

“Almost everything can be foreseen, and accordingly, one can act and communicate in a timely manner. Simply put, there is always an answer to 'what if'? Whoever has the most answers to this simple question usually leads in this game where the referee never blows the final whistle. There is no final victory. There is always a new 'what if'. This means it is important to persevere in all of this,” Hasaković stated.

He further states that Russia's "victory", as the media euphorically announces, is more of a symbolic than a substantive nature.

“Even that symbolic character is called into question because after this stormy reaction, the entire world will pay special attention to the High Representative's report and the overall situation. Substantively, nothing changes, the OHR remains, the High Representative with Bonn powers remains, EUFOR remains, and NATO remains with its authorities,” added Hasaković.
