SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The international community in Bosnia and Herzegovina reacted after Croatian President Zoran Milanović denied the genocide in Srebrenica during the Brdo-Brijuni process.
From the OHR in BiH, they wrote on the official Twitter account:
"In connection with recent media reports about alleged statements made during the Brdo-Brijuni process summit in Slovenia, the High Representative reiterates that the facts regarding Srebrenica are clear and well-established," it was stated from the OHR.
"Both international and domestic courts have ruled the crime of genocide in Srebrenica. The High Representative is deeply convinced that open confrontation and dealing with crimes from the past is an absolute necessity in order to build a climate for reconciliation and ensure full individual accountability through the criminal justice system," added the international community.
As a reminder, Milanović denied the genocide in Srebrenica during the Brdo-Brijuni process, which was confirmed by the Cabinet of the Chairperson of the Presidency of BiH, Šefik Džaferović.
Condemnation of Milanović's action came from numerous sides, including from the member of the Presidency of BiH Željko Komšić, the Mothers of Srebrenica, representative in the Assembly of the Sarajevo Canton Aljoša Čampara, the Islamic Community in BiH, the director of the Srebrenica Memorial Center Emir Suljagić, and many others.
