OHR and Schmidt without any reaction to Dodik's threats to BiH's territorial integrity

(Patria) - The Office of the High Representative and High Representative Christian Schmidt have no stance or reaction to last night's rally in Banja Luka organized by SNSD and Milorad Dodik, which involved threats, swearing, denial of the state of BiH, and announcements of secession and that they would "take 49 percent of the territory".

When asked if such rhetoric is acceptable to the OHR and if High Representative Christian Schmidt will have any reaction, we received a surprising answer from the OHR that does not relate to any of the questions asked. The OHR reminded of Schmidt's statement given on Monday.

"In healthy democratic societies, election results are determined by an independent election commission, not political parties. It is the job of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of BiH to organize elections, count votes, and announce results. It is up to the CEC to decide whether an investigation into potential irregularities will be conducted. I support the CEC in carrying out this crucial mandate," the OHR stated.

As long as the high representative reacts to such nationalist outbursts and denial of the state in this way, citizens who want a united and integral state will hold protests under the windows of the OHR. Although he admitted to facing criticism because his recent amendments to the Election Law of BiH and the Constitution of FBiH dealt with only one BiH entity, the high representative continues with the bad practice of amnesting Milorad Dodik and his inflammatory policies. He is also receiving the most brutal insults from RS, where he is mostly not recognized as the high representative, while Schmidt is only "strengthening his muscles" in FBiH.

Regardless of whether the final decision on the election for the president/vice-president of RS rests with the CEC, preserving peace and territorial integrity is Christian Schmidt's task, which he is not fulfilling. It seems that fulfilling the wishes of others, including regional leaders, is more important to Schmidt than hundreds of thousands of BiH citizens who demand equal rights compared to what we have now with his amendments.
