Ogrešević: Of the loud Russian threats, only the silence of Bosnian authorities sounds more ominous

(Patria) - The statement of the Russian Embassy after the meeting of US officials led by Ambassador Michael Murphy with representatives of political parties represented in the Parliament of the Federation, regarding the adoption of the Law on the construction of the so-called "Southern Interconnection", is an open threat to Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also a clear and sharp message to the West, said the president of the People's European Union, Nermin Ogrešević.

"Comparing BiH, i.e. yesterday's meeting, with the meeting of Joseph Biden, then Vice President of the USA, with officials in Kyiv, before Russia's aggression against Ukraine, speaks volumes about the seriousness of the situation. In the coming period, we can expect direct moves and steps that would destabilize BiH to the point of endangering peace and provoking conflicts," Ogrešević points out.

That is why, as he adds, it is incomprehensible that the Bosnian authorities have not shown particular concern.

"On the contrary! Of the loud Russian threats, only the silence of the Bosnian authorities sounds more ominous. It is high time that Bosnia and Herzegovina and its authorities, at least the pro-Bosnian part, openly tell the world that the only possible path for BiH is to be with the West and call on its friends, primarily the USA, to take more serious steps to stop the malignant Russian influence in BiH, primarily through Russian players in our country such as Milorad Dodik," Ogrešević concluded.
