Trump announced: US forces found and extracted the second pilot from Iran

(Patria) - The United States rescued a pilot who crashed in Iran after Iranian forces shot down a US F-15 fighter jet.

"Over the past few hours, the US military has carried out one of the most dangerous search and rescue operations in history," reads Trump's statement, published on social network X by White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt and the White House.

Trump stated that the pilot was injured but would be fine.

Shortly after Iran announced that its air defense had shot down an F-15, the first crew member was found, but the US did not provide many details. The operation to extract the second pilot continued.
