Prosecutor's Office of BiH Responds: Inappropriate Media Attacks Regarding Radončić Case

Regarding the media campaign by the daily newspaper "Dnevni Avaz" and continuous attacks on the BiH judiciary, the Prosecutor's Office of BiH and certain prosecutors, the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued a press release, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

The detention of Radončić Fahrudin is proof of the existence of the rule of law and a message that no one is above the law. The Prosecutor's Office of BiH acts according to the highest legal standards and in accordance with the law.

- We expect the trial in this case to begin, so that citizens and the public can see the quality and quantity of evidence with which the prosecution proves the guilt of the accused in this case during the proceedings.

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH considers the media attacks and fabrications coming from the daily newspaper Dnevni Avaz, which is under the direct influence of the accused in this case, to be absolutely inappropriate.

The fact that the prosecution will call 27 witnesses, 4 experts, and submit more than 160 material evidence in this case clearly indicates that the media fabrications of the aforementioned newspaper about some "fabricated" or "political" process are completely unfounded.

We believe that such media pressure and attacks on the judiciary are inappropriate and unacceptable, and we assure the citizens of our country that the prosecution will not yield to any pressure.

We are genuinely pleased that the citizens and the public of our country have recognized the efforts of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH in the fight against corruption and illegality, in which there are no and will be no untouchable or politically protected individuals.

The accused in this case will be prosecuted like all other accused, regardless of their political position, financial status, or any other circumstances, because all citizens are equal before the law.
