Cleaning and afforestation action held in the area of the Old Town in Blagaj

(Patria) - Eco HUB Blagaj, coordinated by the Youth Club Novi Val and JU Elementary School Gnojnice, held a cleaning and afforestation action with the local community of Blagaj.

The cleaning and afforestation action began with the gathering of participants below the Old Town in Blagaj. JU Elementary School Gnojnice is part of the "Think about Nature!" project as an Eco School, where for this event they planted 21 saplings in the area of the Old Town Blagaj and participated in the cleaning action with Eco HUB Blagaj. JU Elementary School Blagaj also participated in these actions as part of the "Think about Nature!" project, also being an Eco School.

During this action, 21 cypresses, provided by JU Elementary School Gnojnice, were planted, and 7 bags of waste were collected.

"The cleaning action with these schools was very successful; we are glad that schools are getting involved in environmental protection, as it is very important to teach children about the values we have and educate them about the importance of the environment for life." - Eco HUB Blagaj Emina Lulić.

All participants received the necessary equipment for this action, as well as food and refreshments. Eco HUB Blagaj, coordinated by the Youth Club Novi Val Blagaj, was launched as part of the "Think about Nature!" project implemented by the Center for the Promotion of Civil Society, and financially supported by Sweden.
