One-month detention ordered for police officer who beat his wife

(Patria) - The Municipal Court in Sarajevo has granted the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office's motion to order one-month detention for the suspect police officer from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton Police Administration for the criminal offense of domestic violence.

"The Municipal Court in Sarajevo, in the criminal case against the suspect E.E., for the criminal offense of Domestic Violence under Article 222, paragraph 3, in conjunction with paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CC FBiH), all in conjunction with Article 55 of the same Law, based on Article 148, paragraph 1 of the Law on Criminal Procedure of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (LCP FBiH) in conjunction with Article 146, paragraph 1, points b) and c) of the LCP FBiH, on 15.11.2025, issued a decision granting the motion of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton and ordering one-month detention for the suspect E.E.", the statement said.
