Court decision: Ivo Sanader remains in prison

The non-trial panel of the County Court in Zagreb today again decided on bail for Ivo Sanader, after Sanader's lawyers submitted a new list of properties to the court last week. The decision was again unfavorable for Sanader. They refused bail. Sloković and Prodanović refused to comment on the decision. They passed by the journalists visibly angry and nervous, reports the Patria News Agency.

On Thursday, Ivo Sanader's lawyers submitted a new list of properties to the County Court in Zagreb, which would guarantee that Sanader would not flee the country.

There are a total of seven properties, two of which are owned by Mirjana Sanader. Among the offered properties is one owned by Luka Bebić.

- I believe that enough time has passed, that the deadlines for submitting candidate lists are ending today, that there is no longer any reason why Mr. Sanader could not defend himself from freedom, said Bebić.

An appeal to the Supreme Court can be filed against the decision made by the non-trial panel, writes Index.
