(Patria) - The group of citizens "Let May 2014 not happen again" has sent a request to the Waters of the Republic of Srpska, the water inspection, and the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Srpska for information and verification of the gravel exploitation carried out by the company "Đurković" from the Bosna River bed, and in particular whether permission for gravel exploitation has been obtained and on the basis of which project and procedure, what is the expected amount of compensation to be paid into the RS budget based on the extracted gravel and other materials, why a sign with basic information about the works has not been placed in a visible place, and whether this gravel exploitation affects the endangerment of Doboj from floods, given that the Bosna River bed in this area has already been cleaned after the floods in 2014, and the audit finding that uncontrolled and commercial
gravel exploitation from the Bosna River bed affects the endangerment from floods.

The citizens of Doboj are particularly concerned about the fact that these works are being carried out by a company that endangered Doboj and profited from the 2014 flood, by usurping water land, building facilities, and depositing gravel in the major riverbed of the Bosna River, and charging a high price for the delayed construction of an improvised embankment before the start of the 2014 floods, which was washed away by the first water, and that the corrupt Doboj prosecutor's office, which has been protecting the interests of the gravel and other mafia for years, does not want to investigate all of this.
