As part of the "Paths of Victory of the Army of RBiH 92 – 95" event, the Coordination of Basic Veteran Organizations and Associations of HNK organized the first in a series of events tonight at the Mostar Cultural Center, a war photography exhibition titled "Hello, Wherever You Are, Heroes of Mostar...", in cooperation with the Archive of the Center for Peace.
Bosniak member of the Presidency of BiH Bakir Izetbegović opened this photo exhibition "Hello, Wherever You Are, Heroes of Mostar" in Mostar on Thursday, which many have assessed as a kind of response to Thompson's concert, which was even condemned by the PIC, writes Patria.
- Izetbegović said that the HNS did not need this concert and that it was a provocation. He is an ultranationalist and his performances are banned throughout the Balkans, and it should have been the same in Mostar. This is our response to the attack on truth - said Izetbegović.
He added that the fight for the truth to be known throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue.
- Croatian politics does not go that far, like that from RS. They positively magnify, and negatively diminish. A fight for truth and justice awaits us, because only on truth can we build a good future. Relations between Croats and Bosniaks have been better and worse. We will help our neighbors to truly be promoters of European values. In their name, they will have to give up supporting criminals, from two schools under one roof, from two ministries for veterans under one roof, from two Mostars under one roof, from Thompson's concert.
Your struggle in Mostar has always seemed incredible to us from Sarajevo. Mostar residents put up resistance that overcame, which is why Mostar residents always had a special relationship with Alija. And I am glad that Alija also has a special place in your hearts. "They will get tired, and we will not" - that was Alija's answer to a journalist's question about the outcome of the war. With that thought, I open tonight's exhibition - Izetbegović said.
The president of the cantonal Association of Golden Lilies and the chairman of the Coordination of Veteran Associations originating from the war, Suad Muharemović, said that the exhibition speaks about the known and unknown heroes of Mostar who defended and liberated not only Mostar but also the area of Herzegovina from 1992 to 1995.
- Only the unity of the people living in these areas can lead to what we strive for, and that is to live in a prosperous city of Mostar and a united and whole BiH - he said.
The director of the Center for Peace, Safet Oručević, emphasized that the exhibition is dedicated to the people who led difficult military and political struggles during the war period.
He stressed that time will show what the truth is and what happened in the previous period, and that he does not belong to those who believe that there are three truths.
The exhibition was organized by the Coordination of Veteran Organizations originating from the defense-liberation war, in cooperation with the archive of the Center for Peace.
After the exhibition, the documentary film "Defense of Mostar 92-95" was shown.
