Defense of Naser Orić has not seen the indictment nor do they know what evidence the BiH Prosecutor's Office has

The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina today questioned Naser Orić, the wartime commander of Srebrenica, and filed an indictment against him and Sabahudin Muhić, charging them with acting contrary to the provisions of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions during the war and armed conflict between the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Army of Republika Srpska in the area of Srebrenica and Bratunac, in their capacity as commanders and members of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

As Lejla Čović, Orić's attorney, told the Patria agency, they still have not seen the complete indictment nor do they know what evidence the BiH Prosecutor's Office has.

The indictment is to be confirmed by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, after which they will have access to it.

As announced today by the BiH Prosecutor's Office, the indictment states that the accused, during 1992 in the places of Zalazje, Lolići and Kunjerac, committed the murder of three prisoners of Serbian nationality.

The accused are charged with the criminal offense of war crimes against prisoners of war. The indictment has been forwarded for confirmation to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The BiH Prosecutor's Office will, in the same criminal case, submit a request to the Swiss Confederation for the extradition of the suspect Elfete Veseli, who is suspected of having committed the criminal offense of war crimes against the civilian population – the murder of a minor boy of Serbian nationality during 1992, the BiH Prosecutor's Office announced.
