The Standing Committee for Financial Stability, at a meeting held today, January 27, 2015 in Sarajevo, recommended that Hypo Alpe Adria Bank in both BiH entities, which had approved loans in Swiss francs, offer solutions acceptable to clients, the users of these loans, within seven days, reports the BiH news agency Patria.
The solutions offered by commercial banks will be discussed at the next meeting of the Financial Stability Committee.
The Committee accepted the information from the Deposit Insurance Agency of BiH on the payment of insured deposits in Bobar Bank a.d. Bijeljina. So far, the obligation to pay insured deposits has been fulfilled for 8,582 depositors in a total amount of about 60 million KM. About 60 percent of the paid money remained within the banking sector channels. It is expected that the majority of insured deposits will be paid out in the next ten days.
The meeting of the Standing Committee for Financial Stability was chaired by the Governor of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBiH), Dr. Kemal Kozarić, and was attended by the Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH, Dr. Nikola Špirić, the Ministers of Finance of the Federation of BiH and Republika Srpska, Ante Krajina and Zoran Tegeltija, the directors of the entity banking agencies, Zlatko Barš and Slavica Injac, the director of the Deposit Insurance Agency of BiH, Josip Nevjestić, and the resident representative of the International Monetary Fund in BiH, Ruben Atoyan.
