Traffic unblocked at Velika Kladuša - Maljevac border crossing, negotiations with migrants ongoing

VELIKA KLADUŠA, (Patria) - A group of migrants from the camp in Velika Kladuša, who do not possess documents for crossing the state border, arrived at the International Border Crossing Velika Kladuša – Maljevac and are located 70 meters from the border crossing. Traffic at that border crossing was briefly stopped but was unblocked as of 1:30 PM.

This information was confirmed to the Patria news agency by Ado Beganović from the Ministry of Interior of the Una-Sana Canton.

- Approximately 200 migrants headed towards Croatia. Our police forces managed to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and we are on standby. Members of the Border Police unit Velika Kladuša received support from the Ministry of Interior of the Una-Sana Canton, whose officers are deployed near the crossing – says Beganović.

Negotiations with the migrants are currently underway with the aim of taking measures to remove them from the border crossing.
