503 children killed since start of Russian invasion in Ukraine

(Patria) - The Office of the Ukrainian Prosecutor General announced that the Russian military has killed 503 children and wounded at least 1,115 since the start of the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

"More than 1,618 children have been affected in Ukraine during the aggression of the Russian Federation. According to official information from the juvenile prosecutor, 503 children have been killed and more than 1,115 wounded," the statement said.

The highest number of children killed or wounded was in the Donetsk region (485), followed by Kharkiv (299), Kyiv (129), Kherson (121), Zaporizhzhia (99), Mykolaiv (97), Dnipropetrovsk (95), Chernihiv (71), and Luhansk (67), Ukrinform reports.

In a Russian missile attack on the center of Chernihiv on Saturday, a six-year-old girl was killed, while 15 children aged one to 15 were injured. In that attack, seven people were killed and 148 wounded.
