55 Betting Shops Sealed Out of 58 Inspected!

(Patria) - The Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH has recently carried out 58 inspections of taxpayers engaged in the business of organizing games of chance by betting.

Due to identified irregularities: operating without approval from the Federal Ministry of Finance, 55 business units, i.e., betting shop payment points, were sealed. The Tax Administration of FBiH will file requests for initiating misdemeanor proceedings with the competent courts due to the identified irregularities.

The Tax Administration will continue inspection activities to control the legality of taxpayers' operations and prevent the grey economy in the coming period and calls on taxpayers where irregularities have been identified to align their operations and respect the laws so as not to expose themselves to sanctions and unnecessary costs, it was announced.
