
(Patria) - Sarajevo police on Sunday in Kasindolska Street stopped a passenger motor vehicle "Alfa-Romeo", without license plates, driven by E.P., born in 1997, residing in Sarajevo.
Checks in the registry of fines and misdemeanor records revealed that he has an outstanding debt of 5,160.00 KM for unpaid fines, and that he is a repeat offender for traffic violations. The vehicle in question was temporarily seized from the offender, and a Request for initiating misdemeanor proceedings for the committed violation of the Law on Road Traffic Safety in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be submitted to the Municipal Court in Sarajevo.
Upon being stopped, the 27-year-old discarded a packet containing a substance that resembles a narcotic drug.
The duty prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton was informed. Due to the grounds for suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of Possession and Facilitation of Drug Use /Article 239. CC FBiH/, the suspect was deprived of liberty and handed over to the Detention Unit for Detained Persons of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton.
