FROM 18:00 TO 05:00 Federation of BiH Introduces Curfew, Takes Effect on Sunday

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Federation introduced a curfew tonight, which takes effect on Sunday at 6 p.m.

At today's emergency electronic session of the FŠCZ, a decision was issued to introduce a ban
on movement of citizens in the territory of the FBiH

At today's emergency electronic session of the Federal Civil Protection Headquarters (FŠCZ), a decision was issued to introduce a ban on movement of citizens in the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m.

This decision was preceded by a recommendation from the Federal Minister of Interior, Aljoša Čampara, to introduce a movement ban, at the request of the Prime Minister of the FBiH, Fadil Novalić, which was sent to Jelka Milićević, commander of the FŠCZ, and Fahrudin Solak, director of the Federal Administration for Civil Protection (FUCZ) and chief of the FŠCZ.

As stated in this recommendation, among other things, after a detailed assessment of the overall security situation in the territory of the FBiH, especially considering the increase in the number of people infected with coronavirus (COVID-19), as well as the frequent movement of migrants in the evening and night hours, for the protection and best interest of citizens, the introduction of a movement ban (curfew) for all citizens in the territory of the FBiH during the specified period was proposed.

The movement ban takes effect on March 22, 2020 at 6 p.m. and will last until further notice.

The other BiH entity also introduced a curfew, the only difference being that citizens of the RS will have the possibility to move two hours longer, because in the RS the curfew is between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

In the RS, the curfew takes effect on Saturday, and in the Federation of BiH on Sunday.
