From September 1, the director of the RS Police will be Darko Ćulum. The current director, Gojko Vasić, meets the conditions for retirement as of August 31, reports the Patria news agency.
The decision of the RS Government on Ćulum's appointment was published in the Official Gazette of the RS.
At the beginning of August, members of the Independent Board of the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska for the selection of the RS Police Director conducted interviews with Darko Ćulum and Dragan Prodanović, candidates who met the competition requirements for the new director of the entity's police force.
The Board unanimously decided that Darko Ćulum should be proposed as the new director of the entity's police force, and the RS Government confirmed this decision. Darko Ćulum currently serves as the Deputy Director of the RS Police. He also served for a period as the Chief of the Banja Luka Police Administration.
