Suspension of debt payments to the Tax Administration, FBiH Government introduces relief for sports collectives

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The Government of the Federation of BiH, at an emergency session held yesterday via telephone, tasked the FBiH Tax Administration to allow sports collectives and business entities not covered by the Law on Mitigating Negative Economic Consequences, caused by the coronavirus pandemic, and who have concluded agreements with the FBiH Tax Administration for installment payments of public revenues, or deferred payments, to suspend payment of installment payments, deferred tax debt, and current obligations until 30 days after the state of emergency ceases.

"This administration is also obliged to ensure that sports collectives and other entities not covered by this law, and who have repayment agreements for taxes and contributions in effect, are granted a suspension of forced collection and activation of collateral under the repayment agreement, as well as the calculation of default interest during the period of the state of emergency and 30 days after its cessation. The Tax Administration is tasked to, for the same period, ensure the suspension of forced collection and activation of collateral under the repayment agreement, as well as the calculation of default interest for agreements on settling overdue debt to public companies, concluded in accordance with the Decision of the FBiH Government on determining more favorable conditions for concluding agreements on settling overdue debt to public companies.

The Federal Government also tasked the FBiH Tax Administration to, through its cantonal branches, ensure the issuance of certificates to sports clubs for fulfilling the conditions for obtaining competition licenses from the competent international sports associations," the FBiH Government announced.
