List of Most Profitable Companies Published

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - An analysis of the business reports of companies in FBiH for 2018, available to LRC, the largest credit rating agency in the country, has led to interesting results showing that the past year was extremely successful for the Bosnian economy, and very profitable for some companies.

Great progress has been made in numerous areas, and for the first time, three billionaires are on the list of the most successful companies, Poslovne novine reported.

Three companies, namely, generated revenue exceeding one billion KM, and a new leader is at the top this year. Holdina took the leading position, generating KM 1,175,775,008 in revenue, followed closely by Bingo from Tuzla with KM 1,107,404,065 in revenue.

The long-time leader JP Elektroprivreda BiH holds the third position with KM 1,046,048,246 in revenue, and these three companies are far ahead of the others in terms of revenue. Fourth on the list with KM 747,293,759 in revenue is ArcelorMittal, followed in the Top 10 companies by: Aluminij (530,135,381), Hifa-Oil (521,679,018), Petrol BH Oil Company (516,536,944), Boreas (488,001,710), BH Telecom (480,413,376), and JP Elektroprivreda HZ HB (442,010,021).

When it comes to the most successful companies by operating profit, JP Autoceste FBiH is unrivaled at the very top, having doubled its profit compared to the previous year – KM 139,985,486.

Last year's leader Bingo, and the first private sector company to hold the leading position, generated an operating profit of KM 92,447,999 and ranks second, while JP Elektroprivreda BiH ranks one place lower with KM 71,983,543 in operating profit.

BH Telecom is the fourth most successful company with KM 56,493,813, and Premier World Sport holds the fifth position with KM 51,964,368 in operating profit. Among the top ten most successful are further: CC HBC B-H (43,480,072), FEAL (41,431,039), LAGER (41,122,909), JP Ceste Federacije BiH (40,768,689), and Bosnalijek (39,713,646).

"We expect the complete list of the most successful companies in BiH soon, after the financial indicators from the Republika Srpska become available. However, there should not be major changes at the top, given that in previous years, most of the leading companies in terms of revenue and operating profit came from FBiH," explained LRC.
