List of beneficiaries for aid in the agricultural and food sector published

(Patria) - The Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry published today on its website the list of selected beneficiaries for financial aid. Funds in the total amount of KM 8,199,933.02 are awarded to 31 export-oriented business entities from the agricultural and food sector, selected in accordance with the public call of this ministry.

The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the proposal of the relevant ministry, adopted at its last session the Decision on awarding financial aid to export-oriented business companies, cooperatives, crafts and other legal entities from the agricultural and food sector in the circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry will sign contracts with the aid beneficiaries for the purpose of monitoring the spending of funds, and the ministry will inform the entities that have been approved for financial aid in the coming days about the date of contract signing.

The decision on aid to the agricultural and food sector was made in accordance with the Decree of the Government of FBiH on intervention measures to support endangered sectors of the economy of FBiH in the circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, with the aim of helping the four most endangered sectors of the economy in the Federation of BiH. Through this decree, a total of KM 90 million was allocated from the Budget of FBiH.
