Video footage released: Mercedes driver hits child in Ilidža and flees the scene

(Patria) - In Ilidža's Josipa Pančića street yesterday, an unknown driver hit a child with a grey Mercedes and then fled the scene of the accident that occurred in the Lužani settlement.

The Black Chronicle portal published surveillance footage, which shows a child running into the street and at that moment being hit by a Mercedes.

The driver then got out of the car, only to get back in and flee, without even attempting to provide assistance to the child.

Instead, it was done by citizens who were on the street and in nearby buildings at that moment.

The police arrived at the scene and are searching for the irresponsible driver.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton confirmed that the child sustained minor injuries and that they have indications of the driver's possible identity.
