Public Call Announced for Economic Entities from Sarajevo Canton and Bosnian-Podrinje Canton for Free Participation in the 11th SBF

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The Ministry of Economy of Sarajevo Canton has announced a Public Call for economic entities from Sarajevo Canton and Bosnian-Podrinje Canton for free participation in the 11th Sarajevo Business Forum (SBF).

The Ministry had previously signed a strategic partnership agreement with BBI Bank for the 11th SBF, which will enable entrepreneurs from these two cantons to present their projects to investors from around the world at the Forum, to be held on May 11 and 12, 2022.

Furthermore, the preparation and presentation of projects from municipalities within these two cantons are foreseen. As part of this strategic cooperation, Sarajevo Canton will have its own pavilion at the SBF, where companies, sole proprietors, and representatives of municipalities from these two cantons will be able to present their products and services, as well as new business ideas and opportunities.

Free participation in the 11th SBF includes free registration and participation (two days) for entrepreneurs and company representatives (one representative per company) from the Sarajevo Canton, and for entrepreneurs (one representative per company) from the Bosnian-Podrinje Canton. The Ministry of Economy of Sarajevo Canton may select and nominate a maximum of 120 participants.

Economic entities that meet the following criteria are eligible to participate under this Public Call:

• are registered and have their headquarters in Sarajevo Canton or Bosnian-Podrinje Canton;

• operate within the strategic sectors: agriculture and food industry, forestry and wood industry – furniture production, metal processing industry – metal production and finished metal products manufacturing, automotive industry, ICT sector, tourism, pharmaceutical industry, education, healthcare and social protection, water supply, wastewater treatment and waste management, construction, sports, culture, and others.

Priority in exercising the right to free participation will be given to all manufacturing, especially export-oriented activities, and to those economic entities that have a concrete project for joint investment. Economic entities engaged in the production and trade of alcohol, tobacco, and the organization of games of chance are not eligible for free participation under this Public Call.
