HEAVY RAINFALL IN TUZLA Flooded roads, authorities monitoring the situation

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The storm hit Tuzla in the afternoon. Due to heavy rain, some streets were flooded.

A huge amount of water accumulated on the roads given that a lot of rain fell in a short period of time.

Due to heavy rainfall and thunderstorms, the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute issued a weather alert for the Tuzla area for today. The warning is in effect until 00:00.

The Agency for the Water Area of the Sava River also issued a warning about a possible extraordinary hydrological situation. An increase in water levels is predicted due to new rainfall in the middle and lower parts of the Bosna River basin. Flash floods are possible in the basins of the Krivaja, Spreča, Usora, Tinja rivers, as well as Una and Sana in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

Relevant institutions have been advised to monitor the situation on the ground and act in accordance with their authorities, and services carrying out measures and activities for the protection and rescue of people and property have been advised to exercise increased caution.
