Anniversary of the murders of Adis and Davor marked: Attack on police is an attack on the state

(Patria) - The fourth anniversary of the murder of two police officers, Adis Šehović and Davor Vujinović, was marked today in Sarajevo by laying flowers at the memorial in Alipašino Polje. Family members, members of the MUP KS, delegations of the police union, and delegations of the Novi Grad municipality and the Government of KS paid tribute to the police officers who lost their lives while performing their duties.  

The president of the Police Union of MUP KS, Sadik Ećo, pointed out that for them this case is resolved. 

"Through the hard work of the Police Directorate, police officers, the police commissioner, the Prosecutor's Office of KS, police agencies, and OSA, the individuals have been deprived of their liberty, are in custody, and are where they belong. When it comes to the indictment, I would not comment on that. I believe it is a voluminous case. The Prosecutor's Office needs time to do that, and I hope it will be done quickly," said Ećo. 

He adds that every anniversary is difficult. 

"Every time it is hard. We spent so many years together, laughed. Adis and Davor were professionals. They were killed only because they honestly, fairly, and professionally performed their job. So, they were a mirror of the state. And I always emphasize that. An attack on a police officer must be considered an attack on the state, and I expect that the judicial institutions will, in accordance with the law, most severely sanction the perpetrators of this brutal murder," concluded Ećo.
