(Patria) - Delegations of Sarajevo Canton, the City of Sarajevo, and the Municipality of Stari Grad today, by reciting Fatiha, observing a minute of silence, and laying flowers, paid tribute to the citizens killed in Isevića sokak street at number 23.
Thirty years ago, at this location, eight Sarajevans, including two children, were killed and 19 were wounded by a tank shell fired from the aggressor positions of the Army of Republika Srpska, while they were waiting in line for water.
The victims of the shell fired from Borije were: Ahmet Ahmetspahić, Jasmina Kajanija, Asim Lačević, Azra Lačević, Senad Lagumdžija, Bajro Pinjo, Aferdita Sadikaj, and Jasna Šarić.
From the site of the massacre, it was stated that it is very important to mark the anniversaries of the suffering of children and other civilians, and that this is important for younger generations, so that the horrors of the aggression against Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina are not forgotten.
Flowers were also laid at the memorial to the victims of the massacre in Isevića sokaku today by the families of the killed, representatives of the Association of Parents of Murdered Children of Besieged Sarajevo 1992-1995, and the Union of Civilian War Victims of Sarajevo Canton.
